Nicotiana hybrid 'Perfume Mix': foliage
Well, this is the only plant I got from my attempt to grow nicotiana from seed. (The seeds are dustlike and I found them very hard to work with.) Unless this plant is spectacular I don't think I'll bother again.
The best luck I had with nicotiana seeding itself was in our last home, when the tall whites would self-sow between the cracks in the paving stones. Perhaps like a lot of small seeds they like the coolness the stones provide. I haven't had any luck with growing them from seed in the garden we have now.
