Hordeum jubatum
Hordeum jubatum, known in English as "foxtail barley" and in French as orge à crinière is a perennial grass native to much of North America and neighbouring Siberia.
Foxtail barley is a vigorous, even agressive, plant that is a pioneer species in disturbed areas, like this vacant lot on Elm west of Bay, and tolerates saline soils.
