Helenium autumnale, known in English as sneezeweed (because it was traditionally used to treat sneezing) and Helen's flower, and in French as
hélénie d'automne, is a perennial native to much of Canada and the United States. It has small yellow flowers, somewhat like a daisy but with a prominent yellow ball instead of disk in the middle.
This is my first attempt at growing sneezeweed. I bought these seeds from the North American Native Plant Society at Seedy Saturday. I am cold-moist stratifying them in the fridge to simulate a North American winter.
